Moxy Hotel Nears Completion Ahead of FIFA 2026 World Cup

The Moxy by Marriott hotel at 329 Marietta St. in downtown Atlanta is nearing completion, though shorter than originally planned. The 183 room hotel, part of a wave of new developments across downtown, is located near major attractions such as Centennial Olympic Park, the Georgia Aquarium, and Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Scheduled to open just ahead of the FIFA 2026 World Cup, the hotel’s development team, including Nexera Capital and Emerge Hospitality Group, aims to complete the project quickly to accommodate the expected influx of visitors. The building will rise to 10 stories, a reduction from the previously planned 13, though the room count remains the same. Plans for multi-story lighted signage have also been scrapped.
